Speech Pathology
(SORRY NOT ACCEPTING NEW SPEECH PATHOLOGY CLIENTS)
As a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, Margaret works holistically with clients to determine how best to heal the voice, if due to injury or trauma, or to work with changing patterns of voicing to free the voice if strength and longevity are desired.
Margaret utilises her extensive skills and over 25 years experience in working with people with voice difficulties in both the private and public sector. She was instrumental in setting up the first medical/speech pathology voice clinic in the ACT and has many years experience in supervision of speech pathologists.
She works closely with clients to achieve individual goals utilising her specialist training in specific voice techniques and incorporating her psychotherapy training where appropriate.
Speech Pathology treatment is generally short term (between two and six sessions), however frequency and number of sessions is dependent on client needs and goals.
Margaret's qualifications include:
Bachelor of Speech Pathology, La Trobe University (1996);
Master in Applied Science (Voice), University of Sydney (2005);
as well as many specialised voice training courses since graduation.
